While the compact Zoostorm Logiq 82-3601 may be encroaching on mini-laptop territory, it has a pretty fast specification.

Finished in a smart high-gloss white lacquer with matching white keys, the Zoostorm Logiq 82-3601 has no small amount of designer appeal.

Lift the lid and we find a bright but glossy 12in widescreen display fixed in a neat black bezel, with two small speakers fixed at the bottom. But the Zoostorm Logiq 82-3601's sound errs too much toward the thin and tinny to get excited about it.

The Zoostorm Logiq 82-3601 compares closely with the Packard Bell Easy Note, using the same 1.86GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor alongside a 12.1in screen. Sadly, this laptop comes fitted with an even smaller battery, lasting just one hour and 42 minutes.

The Zoostorm Logiq 82-3601 does, however, include an optical drive.

Some of that battery life is probably sapped by the internal fan, which is audibly whirring most of the time the Zoostorm Logiq 82-3601 is booted. The payback for short battery life and noisy fans should be high performance, but here the Logiq failed to impress, giving a WorldBench score of only 43 points.

Graphics performance is predictably uninspired, but with quality settings at ‘minimum’ the Zoostorm Logiq 82-3601 did manage 19fps (frames per second) in FEAR.

The Zoostorm Logiq 82-3601 is small for a traditional chassis laptop, although it hints at some of the firepower of the larger models. For someone looking for a stylish, clean and above all, lightweight computer, the Zoostorm Logiq 82-3601 will fit the bill nicely.
