Here’s a turn up for the books – a Microsoft product that looks more stylish and elegant than Apple’s own alternative. The sleek, curved design of the wireless Arc keyboard looks lovely, and is suitable for use both at home on a small desk and when you’re travelling with a laptop.
Like the Apple Wireless Keyboard it lacks a numeric keypad, and it’s primarily designed for use with PCs, so its Windows and Alt keys are reversed from the position of the Command and Alt keys on a standard Mac keyboard. However, the Mac software, which you have to download from the internet, lets you alter the keyboard layout to match the normal Mac style. It also allows you to program the various function keys to perform tasks such as launching applications or controlling iTunes.
The official price is £49.99, but shop around and you can find it for about £30 at websites such as Amazon.
