Almost a century later, the country remains one of the world's leading centres for robotics. Research by CB Insights suggests British startups currently account for six percent of the global robotics market, but its combination of academic expertise, business ecosystem, and £17.3 million of funding from the government, has created fertile soil for the sector's growth.
