It is impossible to ignore the ongoing issue of the gender skills gap within the technology industry.

Earlier this year results from Manchester Digital’s annual digital skills audit found that workforces within the digital tech sector in the North of England were split at a ratio of 72:28 male to female.

In 2016 a report from National Centre for Women & IT (NCWIT) found that women hold only 25 percent of computing jobs. However, there are plenty of companies are working on changing that and bringing more women into tech.
