Microsoft has recalled an updated version of its Small Business Server because of a glitch discovered during a regular software production audit.
The update, called Small Business Server 2003 R2, contained non-final versions of some core components. However, it had only been released recently to OEMs, system builders and distributors, and was not generally available to customers, according to the company.
Microsoft is recalling and re-issuing the production so far. That will lead to a minor delay in general availability, the software giant said. It was due in August.
Small Business Server 2003 R2 will incorporate the Windows Server 2003 operating system, SharePoint Web portal, Exchange Server groupware and Office Outlook e-mail software.
