F-Secure's anti-virus product is set to support Windows Mobile 5. The company said that the move was in response to the likelihood that the PDA and smart phone OS from Microsoft will come under increasing attacks from viruses.
"It is likely that it will become a target of virus writers in the future as its popularity grows, said Antti Vihavainen, vice president of mobile security for F-Secure.
F-Secure's Mobile Anti-Virus software already covers the Windows Mobile 2003 platform.
The price of the software is listed on F-Secure's Web site at 28.65 (US$34.12) for a 12-month subscription. Mobile Anti-virus is updated over-the-air.
