Aimed at small and medium business, the device capacities range from 500GB to 1.5TB, costing between $1,399 and $3,999. All the new StorCenter Pro NAS 250d servers have Microsoft Windows Storage Server 2003 R2, and are compatible with Mac OS X v10.2.7 or later, Windows and Linux client systems.
They have hot-swappable Serial ATA (SATA) II hard disk drives, and the 500GB model includes a built-in Iomega Rev 70GB drive for backup.
The top system in the new lineup features three 500GB 7200RPM drives and hardware-based RAID Level 0, 1 and 5 support. The 750GB and 1.5TB models also have dual Gigabit Ethernet connections with automatic load balancing and an external Ultra 320 SCSI connection.
