EMC has completed its purchase of document capture software vendor Captiva.
EMC announced plans to acquire Captiva for $275 million in October. The two companies already partnered on integrating Captiva's InputAccel software into EMC's Documentum enterprise management suite. With Captiva part of EMC, those integration efforts will intensify.
Captiva will now become part of EMC's software group and will continue to be managed by Reynolds Bish, previously Captiva's president and chief executive officer. Bish will report to Dave DeWalt, president of EMC's software group.
