Pan-European bank Santander says it has launched the UK’s first standalone ISA mobile app ahead of the 5 April ISA savings deadline.
The app was designed by and developed with mobile innovation studio Monitise Create, and is now available to Santander customers and non-customers on iOS and Android.
It is designed to deliver simple and accessible ways for consumers to manage their tax-free ISAs, and find out more about the products and rates available to them ahead of the UK ISA deadline. The app includes an ISA interest calculator, an ISA deadline countdown clock, and allows customers to open new ISAs, upgrade existing ones and make transfers into them.
The launch follows Monitise’s collaboration with Santander on the launch of Yaap, the bank’s Spanish m-commerce joint venture with CaixaBank and Telefónica; and partnering with the bank on its SmartBank app designed for students. Santander invested in Monitise in November 2014.
