Only NASA could make a game called Moonbase Alpha that actually is what it sounds like. The new edutainment title puts players in the role of astronauts on the moon in the very near future, where stuff apparently breaks regularly.
In either singleplayer or multiplayer mode, participants have to fix critical systems and restart oxygen flow to a moon base after a meteor strike cripples a solar array and the life support equipment on the base. If the game were made by anybody other than NASA, there'd also be some alien virus to deal with.
You can download Moonbase Alpha on Steam today, which will also supply NASA's new game with leaderboards and stat tracking. Find out more about the game here.
