The UK’s largest insurer, Aviva, is investing £1 million per annum in a new supplier management solution from The Innovation Group (TIG), in an attempt to bring down the cost of claims.

The contract, which will run for a period of seven years, will see Aviva adopt Innovation Symbility as its preferred claims management solution. Symbility provides a smartphone-enabled platform with collaborative workflow management, mobile estimating, claims triage and analytical services.

According to TIG, Symbility enables insurers like Aviva to reduce indemnity spend, reduce average claims settlement duration and reduce adjuster review time by 50 percent. They also benefit from increased customer service delivery.

Andy Roberts, Chief Executive Officer of Innovation Group, added that the contract will help TIG to build on the traction it has already established in Europe, creating an “exciting position” for the company's property footprint.
