SX System Suite 2.0 is a collection of the free system monitoring tools offered by SecurityXPloded. These can be used in various ways, but the most common is probably to try and manually detect malware on your PC.
VirusTotalScanner, for instance, allows you to check a file's safety at VirusTotal.com from your desktop - without uploading it. Choose your file, click the "VirusTotal Scan" button and the program will calculate a hash (a digital fingerprint) for the file and send that to the site. It'll run that hash against over 40 antivirus tools, and within seconds you'll know which (if any) think it's malicious.
Advanced Win Service Manager is a handy tool which allows you to view your Windows services in various ways (running services, core system services, running non-system services, and so on). Entries the programs thinks are suspicious are highlighted, and right-click options allow you to stop a service, disable it, or search for details at VirusTotal, Process Library or Google.
Elsewhere, ProcNetMonitor shows you the processes with open network connections, including the port number, remote address and other relevant details.
StreamArmor will scan your PC for files with alternate data streams (an NTFS technology sometimes used by malware to hide files).
SpyBHORemover lists Internet Explorer browser helper objects and tells you more about them.
And SpyDLLRemover itself integrates several tools, checking your PC for spyware, listing running processes and finding out more about particular DLLs.
There are some small issues here. The suite tries to add a new browser addon during installation, for instance. And there's no integration or Start Menu folder, so we had to browse to \Program Files (x86) to find the tools.
Still, once you've located everything there's enough here to be interesting. SX System Suite can't compete with, say, SysInternals tools for system monitoring features, but there is still plenty to explore, and if your PC is infected by something nasty then the suite may help you track it down.
Added one new tool - Windows UAC Manager and updated latest versions of existing tools.
While these aren't the best system monitoring tools, SX System Suite may be able to help experienced Windows users detect malware on their systems
