Budget airlines have brought airline travel to everyone and ensured that going abroad is no longer for the elite. One of the pioneers of affordable airline travel was easyJet and they are still going strong.
The easyJet smartphone app is very easy to use and functions very smoothly. It is very easy to navigate and there are six main sections which allow you to book flights, track ‘my’ flights, flight tracker, boarding passes, booking cars, and booking hotels. Covering all these aspects makes the process so much easier.
Within the app, you can scan your passport details or your credit/debit card with your camera and you’re all set for booking or reserving your next travel. Where the app really comes to be useful to you is on the day of travel, you can easily access your boarding pass and you will get push notifications of updates covering life flight information and it will also give you offers, which is less useful.
The app also covers other information such as bag allowance, FAQ’s, special assistance and medical help should you need extra information or help while traveling. If you want to book a car, the app is less useful as all it does is link you to partner sites which will be loaded into your smartphone’s browser. Another issue is that they value you are getting through your flight is not reflected when you look for cars via easyJet, you can definitely get better deals.
The app is great for on-the-day travel, it has some useful features, but it could look a lot better even though it’s in keeping with easyJet’s theme.
