I was a little surprised to hear that the lead time is something like four to five weeks. Seems they're in short supply worldwide.
This is really frustrating. Fair enough, I don't have too much of an issue with some socking great enterprise-level switch being in short supply. But the ASA range is a real bread-and-butter, mass-market gadget.
Maybe Cisco realise that there are lots of people like me - that is, when the supplier said: "I could get you a Juniper one much more quickly", I replied: "Sorry, we're Cisco". So maybe they know that I'll put up with a few weeks' delay.
Still pretty annoying, though.
