While there has been a lot of apprehension and uncertainty around the potential fallout of Brexit, the UK fintech sector remains one of the most prominent in Europe.

There are 1600 fintechs active in Britain with 2018 bringing continued investment in the sector. Monzo received £85 million in Series E funding propelling them to unicorn status, joined by Revolut who received over £190 million.
