1. Best storage device for startups: cloud storage vs external hard drive
On-site and off-site solutions both provide excellent storage but which is the best for your startup?
External hard drives enable full data control, meaning that your data is pretty safe from hackers and other internet baddies that aren't physically present. Although they are vulnerable to theft, fire, and hard drive failure. Physical hard drives are also limited in use; they can be accessed only from one location rather than the cloud’s remote access to data.
Cloud storage provides a reliable and remote solution that updates automatically. And without the initial cost of hardware it lends itself to startups quite nicely. But cloud storage is theoretically susceptible to hackings and data breaches so extra layers of security should be added to combat this.
