1. Cannabis startups: Eaze
Eaze calls itself ‘Uber for pot’. It uses much the same concept: customers place orders from dispensaries through the app, the dispensary delivers the goods and the customer pays the driver in cash. Eaze gets a cut of each sale but does not actually sell cannabis itself. It delivers marijuana across 60 cities in California at the moment but plans to expand into other states. It has raised $11.5 million in two funding rounds from six different investors.
