After all that, 2015 was a relatiively quiet year for security acquisitions. Of coourse there was plenty of action with at least one mammoth buy, that of Websense. But it was the year when most of security heat was in startups and their funding, which depressed prices for everyone else. People were fascinated by the new. We also saw retrenchment with McAfee selling Stonesoft to Raytheon and HP selling TippingPoint to Trend - security is realigning once again.
