CyArk is a non-profit formed in 2001 to create a 3D online cyber archive of the world’s top 500 heritage sites using laser scanning technology. The work is time-consuming and expensive but CyArk and its partners have finished 50 nominated sites around the world including Pompeii, Mount Rushmore and Babylon with another 50 in production. As the following slides show, the UK is also well represented.
