Silicon Valley Comes to the UK  (SVC2UK), a not-for-profit organisation that aims to improve the economic climate for entrepreneurs across Britain, has revealed the UK companies on target to reach £100 million in revenue within three to five years.

The companies were selected to be part of SVC2UK exclusive 100 Club.

They were chosen by a panel of investors including the co-chair of SVC2UK Sherry Coutu, Spotify's Shakhil Khan, and UK Trade and Investment's Christopher Hopkins.

Over the course of last week, Silicon Valley and UK experts in entrepreneurship led workshops, masterclasses and lectures, with the aim to debate, discuss, create and fund today’s most disruptive technologies.

Some of the companies selected to be part of the 100 Club saw their leaders attend a CEO Summit yesterday where they were given advice on scaling into Silicon Valley from serial entrepreneurs and investors.

London has been at the heart of the UK start-up scene and the area around Shoreditch in East London is home to the largest cluster of start-ups in the UK. However, questions have been asked about how many of them are scaling beyond the start-up stage and this has forced the government to introduce new initiatives such as Future Fifty.

Some of this year’s start-ups to make the 100 Club include well-known London firms such as Seedrs, Swiftkey and Lumi Mobile.
