EMC has issued patches for three versions of its Networker software which fix problems that could lead to a system crash or unauthorised remote access. Meanwhile, exploit code targeting Veritas' Netbackup product appeared on Monday. The flaw was first discovered in November by iDefense and a patch subsequently issued.
A buffer overflow in a shared library affects 5.x versions of servers and clients. If successful, an exploit could allow a hacker to deny service or execute arbitrary code.
