Carly Fiorina has popped up following her dismissal as head of HP in February, taking a post on the board of directors for security compny Cybertrust.
Fiorina has made a limited number of speaking engagements since she was fired following a dispute with HP's board, but has otherwise remained very low-key.
Cybertrust said it chose her for its board because of her "business acumen" and "incredible wealth of knowledge and insight into how technology impacts businesses and governments".
Carly hersefl said: "I am looking forward to serving on its Board of Directors and helping the company to continue its growth and expand its services offerings to customers worldwide."
The privately held Cybertrust sells security and compliance management products and services.
In addition to her new board position, Fiorina also is trying her hand at writing. She has signed a contract with to publish her memoirs. The book is expected late next year.
