Microsoft Patch Day will comprise six patches this month all affecting Windows. Some of them are critical and will require a restart, the software giant has warned.

On Tuesday, Microsoft will also release an updated version of its Malicious Software Removal Tool, and a non-security update for Windows.

The company did not release any details on the specific nature of the patches. They are detectable using the Microsoft Baseline Security Analyzer. It also noted that while the software removal tool update will be available on Windows Update, Microsoft Update, Windows Server Update and Download Center, it will not be distributed using Software Update Services.

Last month, saw just three patches on Patch Tuesday.
