The latest version of Asus's Eee PC is now available in the UK, with two models in the Eee PC 1000 series priced at £349 and £369.

The Eee PC 1000 includes Intel's Atom processor and a 10in (1024 x 600) display. It's available with either Windows XP or Linux – the £349 XP version includes an 80GB traditional hard drive, while the 'standard' model runs Linux, costs £369, and includes a 40GB solid-state hard drive. The latter model also comes with 20GB of free online storage.

Asus says that in addition to the new range of features, the Eee PCT 1000 includes Super Hybrid Engine technology - which offers a choice of performance and power consumption modes – enabling battery life to reach up to 7.5 hours.
