Is your CIO the best in the business? Is he or she a technical wizard? Do you have someone who can communicate a well thought-out strategy and deliver on it? Is your CIO someone with excellent management skills who ensures that the organisation’s IT staff are well supported in all they do?

If the answer is yes to all these questions then we at Techworld would love to hear from you, as your CIO sounds like a great candidate for the inaugural CIO of the year award.

The award, part of the annual Techworld awards, will be awarded to the CIO who has demonstrated a combination of business sense with a keen grasp of how technology can drive a business forward. The award will go to the individual who has shown that he or she has strong budget handling, project management and leadership skills allied to that technical and business ability.

We’re not just looking for CIOs however; we’re also looking for best IT department of the year, the public sector project of the year, security project of the year, mobility project of the year and green project of the year.

All the shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a gala dinner to receive the adulation of their peers and industry. This year’s dinner will be held on 11 June at the Indigo Room in the O2 Arena.

You can enter all the awards via the Techworld Awards website and if you don’t want to wait for someone to nominate you, you can nominate yourself for an award.
