Accenture is planning to hire 2,000 new employees with various levels of IT expertise this year across its UK business.
It is looking for a wide range of candidates, from entry-level to experienced executives, to fill consultancy and other roles in its technology and digital businesses.
"We are searching for highly motivated, skilled individuals who share our passion for how major UK businesses can transform themselves by harnessing the power of technology - particularly emerging digital technologies - to drive business strategy," said Olly Benzecry, Accenture's country managing director in the UK & Ireland.
Most of the positions are in its Accenture Technology business, where the company is looking for people with infrastructure services and Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) experience to fill 750 positions.
It also has 300 roles for people with industry experience in retail, banking and capital markets, more than 100 consultant positions in the Accenture Strategy business for those with operational and IT strategy expertise, and around 100 positions at all levels across mobility, analytics and digital marketing in its Accenture Digital business.
The jobs will be based throughout the UK, including in London, Manchester, Newcastle, Edinburgh and Aberdeen.
In addition, Accenture is recruiting for its Newcastle Apprentice scheme, which trains young people to achieve a Higher Apprenticeship for IT, a Level 4 BTEC Diploma and a Foundation Degree. The scheme can also lead to a full-time job with Accenture for those who complete the programme and perform well on it.
