If you missed the short window of opportunity you had last night to download the Skype for iPad app, you'll be pleased to know that it is back in the App Store.
The app was apparently posted too early by mistake last night, before it reappeared on Tuesday lunchtime.
It's a 16.3MB download and requires iOS 4.0 or later. It's free, as you'd expect, though you can pay extra in-app for access to features such as cheap calls to landlines or mobiles.
Skype-to-Skype calls, videocalls and instant messaging features are all free, and existing users can sign straight into their account once they have downloaded and installed the app. However, some features in the PC/Mac app, such as file sharing, have not made it into the iPad version because of the way the iPad handles files.
