RealVNC, the provider of VNC remote access and control software, is inviting developers to sign up to its VNC Developer programme, and be the first to access a new VNC software development kit (SDK) with built-in VNC Cloud connectivity.
The VNC Developer hub enables entrepreneurs and OEMs to partner with RealVNC to integrate VNC into existing products and services or build new products. With the launch of the portal, Cambridge-based RealVNC hopes to provide the tools for businesses to benefit from its software and use it to increase the accessibility of products and services and improve day-to-day work.
Virtual Network Computing (VNC) was pioneered by RealVNC and provides remote access, linking two computer devices and allowing one to be controlled by the other. The online hub provides access to the VNC SDK and associated tooling and documentation for rapid app development on Windows, Linux, Mac, iOS, Android and HTML 5 platforms.
It also enables integration with VNC Cloud, RealVNC's scalable and secure internet connectivity service. As the programme evolves, developers will be encouraged to take advantage of blogs, new samples and other resources as they become available.
Adam Greenwood Byrne, VP strategic alliances at RealVNC, said: "VNC Developer represents a step-change in RealVNC's engagement with the developer community. We encourage entrepreneurs and business users to read our case studies and be inspired by all the ways in which existing partners, such as Google, Intel, Beckman Coulter and Rand McNally, are using VNC to create connectivity and control."
