Dell is expanding its services based on SAP's HANA in-memory database to help organisations in Europe make informed decisions, improve operations and increase performance.
SAP HANA provides the infrastructure for multiple “big data” business applications, such as analytics and business intelligence. The database pulls operational information from various data sources into a single environment and instantly analyses transactions to generate business insights.
Dell Services already provides assessment, analytic solution design and development, deployment and maintenance services in the US for SAP HANA running on certified Dell PowerEdge servers. Now the company will offer these services in Europe as well.
Dell's offerings include 24x7 managed services, configuration of SAP data replication services, and assistance in migrating to HANA from SAP’s Netweaver Business Warehouse.
Application development services such as data integration, data modeling, statistical modeling and performance dashboard/reporting design are also available, and Dell will provide rapid deployment services to customers across Europe.

“Dell is able to accelerate that by making it easy to deploy and manage SAP HANA so customers are in a position to realise the full benefits of their investments in SAP solutions.”
Karl Schindler, head of IT at Koehler Paper Group, added that Dell’s appliance certified to run SAP HANA and services had a real impact on the company's day-to-day productivity.
“Not only did we have the entire implementation complete in just three days, but also we were able to cut data load times from five minutes to five seconds and reduce the cost of our business warehouse system by one third,” he said.
