Laki Marangos

Independent Consultant

An independent consultant with a wealth of experience in the IT industry in general, and specialisation in Voice/Data Communications Strategy and Infrastructure Project and Service Management. Has fulfilled senior roles in major league Companies in the Finance sector over the past 17 years. Previously, a long spell with an oil company enabled the progresdsion from Computer Engineering to Networks and Service Management. Most recent engagement was as Service Delivery Director for an outsourcing service company.

As an Electronics and Telecommunications graduate, Laki's career has followed the fantastic technology journey, from the world of Telex at 50 bps to today’s incredible transmission speeds of gigabits per second and DWDM optical networks.

Throughout his career, Laki has been involved with industry User Groups, which enabled him to develop extensive peer contacts. Has served as Chairman of the UK Net/One (later named UB User Group) for six years, participated in OFTEL led working parties and the BT Quality of Service Forum. Currently, is a member of the CMA's Future Technologies Steering Committee helping to organise seminars for the benefit of CMA's members.

Laki has been a member of the NIA judging panel for the past 5 years.
