Maxwell is one of the founders of Techworld, the UK site that aims to pull together technical expertise to provide news, reviews and advice.
He has been writing about IT for more than 20 years and has worked for many of the leading publishing companies (including a spell as editor-in-chief of the UK’s first networking weekly, Network Week) and has written for a wide range of title. Prior to starting his journalism he spent his time number-crunching as a statistical analyst for a supermarket chain.
He is a graduate of the University of Bradford where he studied philosophy (specialising in the philosophy of mathematics) and advanced curry eating, finding time to appear on Bradford’s championship-winning University Challenge team.
Maxwell is still looking for new challenges and is currently studying for his CCNA and is shortly to take the exam.
