I'm sitting in a hotel lobby and see two people I know from the storage industry having a chat. They're ralking about the tape industry and Quantum is mentioned. One says that it's funny how lots of ADIC people seem to have become visible in marketing and so forth once the acquisition was finalised.

Funny says the other, but not surprising, Belluzzo bought ADIC for the management.

But Quantum already had its own management, replied the other person. Why should it want another group of managers?

"Because they were better."

I dunno if it's true but I'm certainly seeing a fair number of ex-ADIC people in visible management roles at Quantum.
