I'm a cynic when it comes to IT - I admit it.
One doesn't become a cynic overnight though - it takes years and YEARS of lies and deceit to create a cynic like me.
Years of hearing "This stuff is state of the art!" in a sales pitch only to find the 'stuff' is discontinued two months after you buy it. (Or alternatively that version of the stuff is discontinued and the
newer faster stuff is completely incompatible with the old stuff)
Years of hearing "We build three year comprehensive support into the purchase price" only to find that it's one year of support plus two years of incomprehensible support outsourced from the latest third-world call centre.
Years of paying maintenance for a 'skilled' technician when the only skill a lot of them possess seems to involve nose picking.
I'm a cynic, I make no excuses.
