Dell has recruited iSCSI-fan and senior analyst Tony Asaro from Steve Duplessie's Enterprise Storage Group. There are three sources for this, all blogs.
First, a blogger called Josiah Cole wrote last November that Michael Dell had called Tony Asaro and offered him a job. Now storage authority and blogger Jon Toigo has followed suit, predicting a formal announcement soon.
Beth Pariseau writes that Asaro will become Dell's director of product marketing where he will create Dell's storage strategy and evangelise.
Asaro's own blog has been idle since November; no posts at all. The last two posts were both highly positive on Dell's EqualLogic acquisition.
Dell has gained a highly effective and knowledgeable iSCSI marketeer.
